As we enter a fresh new month and year, what are you going to bring with you and what are you going to leave behind?
Instead of setting lofty goals that feel overwhelming, another kind of intention can be focused on gentle self care and wellness, by focusing on simple additions and small changes that will keep you in a positive state of mind - which will inherently propel you towards your goals, no matter what they are.
In line with this, I’m absolutely thrilled to announce my new partnership with the stunning wellness brand Haven Well Within. I’m joining their incredible expert panel with a focus on bringing a perspective that will help to nourish your body and mind.
For most of us, 2020 was challenging and nothing like we expected. We learned to (or were forced to) slow down and spend more time at home. The power of your space in influencing your mental well being cannot be overstated. Curating your home - even with a few select, beautiful pieces - can add a fresh perspective that greets you when you wake up each day.
Something like a clean, new cutting board or a modern vase for some cheery blooms can immediately brighten your mood and spark inspiration and creativity.
Our minds are the most powerful tool we have. We can imagine and then create anything we want for ourselves. But, it’s important to set yourself up for success with a nourished body and a positive mindset.
So, what can you do to create the circumstances for nourishment and positivity? No matter what you are going through, you can try the following things to shift into a good state of mind, keep your nutrition on point, and get into the flow. It doesn’t have to be complicated or time consuming - sometimes lighting a candle, grabbing a healthy snack, or putting on a comfy yet beautiful piece of clothing is enough to do the trick.
Nourish your body with healthy foods and beverages
Focus on nutrient dense, whole foods
Eat a snack every 2-3 hours or between meals
Wear comfortable yet flattering clothes
Get adequate rest as much as possible
Tidy up (or spruce up!) your space
Light a scented candle or use essential oils
Take some time this month to set yourself up for success and watch the rewards unfold and multiply in the coming months. Here’s wishing you a joyful 2021!
